Am I on the the win.mit.edu domain? How can I tell?

To ascertain whether you are on the win.mit.edu domain:

Windows XP/Vista

  1. Right-click on My Computer and select Properties.


  2. In the section for Computer Name, look at what it says for Domain. If it says win.mit.edu, then you are the win.mit.edu domain.

Windows 7

  1. Click on the start button and right-click on Computer, then choose Properties.

  2. Look under the Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings section for win.mit.edu.
