Q: How many computers may I install MIT MATLAB on?
Answer
There is no physical limit to the number of computers on which you may install MIT MATLAB. However, each computer must be personally owned by you (or leased to you). It is a violation of the license terms to install MIT MATLAB on equipment that is owned by MIT or any other institution.
While MATLAB may be installed on many machines, you may only run MATLAB on two computers simultaneously.
If you need a copy of MATLAB to install on MIT-owned equipment in your lab or research group, please contact your departmental IT staff to see if a departmental copy is available. You or your advisor may also obtain a copy from IS&T's Software Distribution team.
When you graduate or leave MIT, you must remove MIT MATLAB from all computers on which you have installed it. You must also remove MIT Matlab before selling or trading your computer.
MIT MATLAB may not be used for commercial purposes.
Virtual Machines
As far as the license terms are concerned, virtual machines are no different than physical machines.
