Print to your local printer
Option one: %WIN
- In the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, printing to output device %WIN is working as expected for most users.
- When printing from SAPgui, enter output device %WIN.
- From the drop-down list Front End printer, select from the list of printers configured on your Windows computer.
Result: The printout is sent to the printer.
Option two: %FE1 or WLOC
- If %WIN is not successful, %FE1 or WLOC are available.
- For output device %FE1, PostScript drivers may be needed.
- Windows 64-bit machines may require that print drivers be signed. Check vendor support for your printer to ascertain whether signed post script print drivers are available for your printer.
- Output device WLOC may be more successful for some printer models.
- With WLOC, users may see issues with printouts at the margins of the Detailed Transaction Report (DTR).
- The far right margin or the bottom 1/4 inch of the page may be cut off.
- The content of the DTR does print successfully.
- In the above cases, printing to Adobe PDF, then printing the generated PDF, enables the DTR to print as expected.
- In some cases, an extra page is printed, with a single line listing the cost object.
- As a workaround, in order to avoid printing the extra page, print first to Adobe PDF, then print only the desired page(s) of the generated PDF.
