MIT Sites That Require Certificate Authentication

The following MIT sites do not support Touchstone Authentication at this time. They require MIT certificates for authentication.

This list is a work in progress and may not be exhaustive.

  • msca.mit.edu - hosts Microsoft Office and Windows installers for download by MIT community members
  • nic-too.mit.edu - hosts Red Hat Linux installers for download by MIT community members
  • mailman.mit.edu - management interface uses a certificate or a list member/administrator password
  • kb.mit.edu - access over https prompts for a certificate; public articles can be browsed over http with no certificate
  • web-cert.mit.edu - certificate-protected content in Athena lockers served by web.mit.edu
  • nic.mit.edu/dhreg/ - dynamic host registration form
  • ca.mit.edu/ca/cpw - certificates are supported but not required; you can change your password using your current password, a Duo push, or a certificate
