Q: Can I change my Kerberos username?

Answer

Yes! Please note that there are many records and systems associated with usernames. The process of changing a username is complicated and a change can potentially affect many systems. As such, changing your username will require scheduling a time with IS&T to execute the change and check on various systems with you to ensure your access is not disrupted.

You may request a change to your Kerberos username and email address for any reason, though the most common reasons are: a name change (either an administrative name change through MITSIS or a legal name change), a gender change, or a health or safety issue.
