Q: Why did my desktop background and panel applets disappear when logging in to Debathena?

While we make every effort to migrate settings from Athena 9 to Debathena, it is unfortunately not feasible to migrate all the panel applets. You can add any additional panel applets of your choice by right-clicking on the top panel, and chosing "Add to Panel..." and selecting the applet of your choice. Any data used by the applet (e.g. the contents of notes for the "Stickies" applet) will once again be available when the applet is added.

You may also have to select your Desktop background again when logging in to Debathena for the first time.
