Q: VMware Fusion prompted me that a new version of the software was available, but I no longer receive the message even though I didn't upgrade. What's going on?

Answer

When you are prompted that an update is available and choose not to upgrade, VMware Fusion will not prompt you again for eight days. To download the most recent version of VMware Fusion, you can visit IS&T's VMware distribution site.

If you wait several days, the prompt to upgrade will appear again and look something like this:

a new version of the software is available
