When are Canvas sites created for the next semester?

New Canvas sites are created for upcoming terms based on the following schedule:

• Summer & Fall: On or around May 1
• IAP & Spring: On or around November 15

If you cannot find your subject in Canvas and it is after the corresponding creation date, please contact canvas-support@mit.edu.

If it is before the corresponding creation date for your subject and you would like to begin working on your Canvas site, consider requesting a temporary non-class site. If you begin setting up a subject on a non-class site, you will be able to transfer that content to the formal academic class site in Canvas once it is available.
