TSM 6.x for OS X - Restarting the TSM Client Scheduler

If you should need to restart the TSM Client Scheduler, it must be manually stopped and started. Please follow the instructions below in order:

In your Applications folder, go to Tivoli Storage Manager, and open TSM Tools for Administrators.
Result: The TSM Tools for Administrators window opens.

To stop the Scheduler

  1. Select Stop the Client Acceptor Daemon option from the list and click OK.

  1. You will be prompted for an Administrator password, enter it and press OK.
  2. You will see a confirmation, press OK.

To Start the Scheduler

  1. Open “TSM Tools for Administrators" again.
  2. Select Start the Client Acceptor Daemon option from the list and click OK.
  3. You will recieve a warning. Click OK.
  4. You will be prompted for an Administrator password. Enter it and press OK.
  5. Please wait.
  6. You will see a confirmation. Press OK.
    Note: The PID is a random number and will be different each time. This is normal.
