MIT Events Calendar - Event Keywords and Tags

Keywords

Keywords are hidden tags and are only used for internal purposes. They are not displayed anywhere on the calendar. Keywords can help with search engine optimization (SEO) as common misspellings or other nicknames can be assigned to events. This will help users to find events. Also, keywords can be used as a filtering parameter in widgets.

Tags

Tags are displayed on the event landing page. They are used for grouping similar events outside of filters. Tags is another way to help users find events.

Assign Keywords and Tags

Adding keywords and tags for events are only available to Event Administrators. Keywords and Tags is a free-text field, there is no pre-determined list and can be found in the Additional Details section of the Add an event form.
