BeyondTrust - Touchstone Authentication

Authentication with BeyondTrust has been changed to use SSO authentication AKA Touchstone. This was done for security reasons and adds MFA. You will need to download the new representative console to see the SAML Authentication option, available by logging in at remotehelp.mit.edu. Select "Download Representative Console" after selecting your OS and install it.

1. When going to remotehelp.mit.edu select "Use SAML Authentication" as shown in the below image. You can then authenticate in the normal manner.
   

1. When logging in to the representative console, select "Authenticate using SAML Credentials".
   
   
2. This will authenticate off of your default web browser, and then download a file called repscript-.brcs-mit0.
3. Open the downloaded file, and it will reopen the console and authenticate you.
4. You may then use BeyondTrust the same as before.

To ease the reopening of the file, you can set Chrome to always reopen it by executing the following steps:

1. Download the file in Chrome.
2. At the bottom of the page where it shows what file had been downloaded, click on the arrow next to the file.
3. Select Always open files of this type.
