Access denied error for time sheet entry - hourly position has closed or I have graduated or withdrawn as a student

• I am a student, and the hourly position that I have been working is showing up as closed. When I try to access the time sheet entry screen, I get an Access Denied error message. How can I get paid for hours that I have already worked, or for hours that I will work in the next few weeks?

• I have recently graduated, or my student status with the Registrar's Office has otherwise changed to terminated or withdrawn. How can I get paid for hours worked?

Answer

• This error message can indicate a number of different situations, see also: Access Denied error for time sheet entry, ZHRI TIMESHEET Overview
• If the position has closed, and you are receiving an Access Denied error when trying to access the time sheet entry screen, the following are solutions for being paid for time already worked.
  • For hours worked before the position end date, the supervisor for the position can use the Atlas time sheet correction function to submit the hours to the Payroll Office.
  • For hours worked after the position end date, the supervisor for the position will need to send a request to the HR Pay Service Center to extend the end date for the position.
  • If you have graduated, your status within SAP will have been changed, such that it will not be possible for you to access the time sheet entry function in Atlas. Your supervisor will also not be able to enter current time on your behalf. The best workaround will be for the supervisor for the position to use the time sheet correction form to adjust time sheets already submitted for previous weeks. Another solution, for student with work authorization within the US, is to arrange payment via MITemps.
