Definition

Hermes was the project name of The Knowledge Base (this site). You may still see some legacy references to the Hermes name in The Knowledge Base, and some IS&T staffers still use the Hermes name out of habit.

The system is a knowledge base and help web application developed and run at MIT for the MIT community. It encourages community contributions and collaborative authoring.
