Q: Can I use MIT MATLAB without a network connection?

Answer

You can use MIT MATLAB without a network connection. However, a network connection is still required for installation and activation. The activation and installation process will work with any high-speed Internet connection; it does not have to be MITnet. The VPN is no longer required for MATLAB.

If you still have the old version of Student MATLAB and receive license server errors when trying to use it, please upgrade immediately. For more information, please see MATLAB Landing Page
