Q: What ports does Sophos Anti-Virus Use?

Starting July of 2021, IS&T has migrated to a new version of Sophos called Sophos Central. MIT users have until the summer of 2022 before the old version will stop receiving updates. If you are configuring a local firewall, the following ports – 80, 8192, 8194, 8196 – need to be open to the following servers for MIT's Sophos Anti-Virus client to function:

sophosfe1.mit.edu 18.7.6.41
sophosfe2.mit.edu 18.7.6.43
sophosfe3.mit.edu 18.7.6.44
sophosfe4.mit.edu 18.7.6.45
