Q: restrict who can subscribe to a Mailman list

How do I restrict who can subscribe to a Mailman list? I have a list, I only want certain people to be on the list, I do not want other people to be able to add themselves.

1. From the list administration page, go to the configuration category for Privacy options > subscription filters

1. Set the option "What steps are required for subscription?" to Require Approval
