Out of Office for Mail in 10.10 Yosemite and up

Q: How can I set the Out of Office responder in Mail on OS 10.10 Yosemite (and up) for MIT Exchange email?

Use the built in Out of Office assistant

  1. To find the Out of Office assistant right click (ctrl+click) on your top level Mail folder or Inbox.
  2. Select Out of Office.
  3. Enter the appropriate out of office replies.
    Note: External reply means not in the MIT Exchange system including other addresses.
