Download a report from SAPgui

Question

I've run the DTR or Summary Statement in SAPgui, and want to download a copy to my local machine, as an Excel spreadsheet. How can I do this?

Answer

1. Execute the DTR or Summary Statement.
2. Select the Download button.
3. In the "Save As" dialog box, browse to the location in which you want to save the file.
4. Type <filename>.xls, where <filename> is the name you want for the downloaded report. Ending the file name in .xls will tell SAPgui to save the report as an Excel spreadsheet.
5. Navigate on your machine to the location you chose. You should see a new Excel document with your report results.
