What is the Opt Out feature for Benefits Confirmation?
Ability to opt out of receiving the paper Benefits Confirmation statement in Atlas. Users will have the option to either go paperless and view their Benefits Confirmation form in Atlas or choose the paper option to receive the form in the mail from MIT Benefits.
How to Opt Out of the Benefits Confirmation Form?
- Opt Out of Benefits confirmation message will appear before enrolling in Benefits.
" - If "I Accept" is selected, then its the paperless option and users will view their Benefits Confirmation form online and not receive a paper copy from MIT Benefits. Also, a confirmation message will appear that "you have opted not be mailed a copy of the Benefits Confirmation form."
- Note: The Opt Out message will not appear again and if you need to change your selection, then contact the Benefits Office at x3-6151, benefits@mit.edu or for Lincoln Lab at 781-981-7055, benefits@ll.mit.edu.
- If "I Decline" is selected, then its the paper option and users will be mailed their Benefits Confirmation form following the close of Open Enrollment. Also, a confirmation message will appear that "you have opted to be mailed a copy of the Benefits Confirmation form."
- Note: The Opt Out message will appear again during Open Enrollment to reminder users of the paperless option. Also, users will be alerted of the paperless option when viewing your benefits.
