Request Processing - Key Approvals

This documentation refers to the Atlas Online Gateway.
You can access Atlas at https://atlas.mit.edu/

Key approvers will receive a confirmation email whenever they have a request awaiting their approval. Use the link in the email to view the request. Note: You will also need to approve requests that you create yourself in the system.

Approving or Rejecting a Request

  1. To view the request, click the link in the email you received, or go to Service Requests and click the Key Approvals link.
  2. From the My Key Approval List, click the green plus next to the request you want to work with.

To view the request before approving/rejecting

  1. To view the request before approving (recommended), click the View Request button.
  2. On the next screen, review the details of the request. If you are ready to approve/reject, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the appropriate button.
  3. A message will appear at the top confirming your selection.
  4. Use the Back button to return to your key approval list.

To approve or reject from the Key Approval List

If you are already aware of the details of the key request, you can approve or reject it right from the Key Approval List.

  1. Click the green plus next to the request.
  2. Click the Approve or Reject button as desired.
  3. A confirmation message will appear at the top of the list.
