Obtain an Ethernet Cable

Try the wireless network

There are now two ways to connect your computer to the network / internet at MIT. While the traditional wired network is useful for some desktop computers and server setups, IS&T recommends that dorm residents with laptops try connecting to the wireless network for everyday computer use.

Picking up an ethernet cable

If the wireless network does not meet your needs and you would like to use the wired network connection, ethernet cables are available free of charge from IS&T. Contact the IS&T Service Desk with your request.
