Manually enrolling your iPad into the Student Loaner Program

This process is only required for specific international students who received email from IS&T directing them to this page. All other participants in the Student iPad Loan Program should follow the instructions on the [istcontrib:Student iPad Loaner Enrollment Process] page.

• Power on your iPad and go through the initial setup. See Apple's documentation here for more info: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202033
• From the home screen of your iPad, launch Safari from the dock
• In Safari, type this URL into the address bar: https://casper1.mit.edu:8443/enroll
  Result: you'll see a login web page
  
  
• Enter your kerberos username and password, then click Log In
  Result: you'll see the "Assign to user" page
  
  
• On the Assign to User page, enter your kerberos username again. In the site menu, change it from "None" to "Student Loaner Program". When done, click Enroll.
• You will be prompted to install the CA certificate. Click Continue
• Safari will ask you to allow it to download a configuration profile. Click Allow.
• Go back to your home screen and launch the Settings app.
  
  
• In the left side, click on the "Profile Downloaded".
• You will be prompted to install the certificate profile. Click install.
• When you've finished installing that, go back to Safari and click Continue to install a second profile.
• You will again be asked to allow downloading this second profile.
• Go back to the Settings app, and again click on "Profile Downloaded" on the left.
• Click install and go through the verification screens until you see the Done button.
• Click Done. Enrollment is now complete and you should see Self Service appear on your home screen within a few minutes.
