Late time sheet reporting and changes
- This article pertains to Time Administrators and Time Approvers.
- In the event that a time sheet is not entered timely only the Time Administrator or Time Approver can make changes or submit a late time sheet. There are two methods by which the updates can be done.
Method 1: Navigate to prior period from current week’s timesheet
- Select Approve/Distribute Time sheets in Atlas.
- Select the individual from your results list by clicking on Both or Hours to the left of the person’s name. The button you see is dependent upon your authorization (Approver or Administrator). See method 2 if the person is not listed.
- In the middle of the time sheet, you will see a drop down list of pay periods from which to select a prior period. Select the appropriate period and click Go.
Note: You can enter late time or make changes up to 6 months in the past for both employees and students.
- Enter or make changes to the prior period as you would a current week’s timesheet and Save.
Method 2: Search for Person not included in your current week time sheet results
- Click on the Search for Timesheets button above your current week results list.
- Enter a date or range of dates for the periods you wish to enter or change and the individual’s MIT ID or last name then click either Search button. If there are results that fit your search criteria you will either get a results list or go right into the time sheet if there is only one that fits your search criteria.
Note: Navigate through the list and do time entry as you would with the current week’s timesheet.
- Once complete, you can do a New Search or Return to Inbox (current week timesheet list).
