For applications that are compatible with Java 7
- Users should consult with their local IT support before installing or upgrading Java. Local applications may require specific Java versions.
- Install or update Java Runtime Environment and enable Java Plugin
- Windows users should uninstall previous Java versions.
- Macintosh users on Mac OS 10.7 and higher who have determined that local applications do not require Java 6 should [uninstall Java 6]
