Apple XProtect requires updated version of Java Plug-in
4/18/2013 Apple has just updated XProtect on OS X, which will block Java web plugins earlier than Java 6 update 45 and Java 7 update 21. These required versions of Java can be downloaded using the following links:
Java 7 Update 21: http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp
Java 6 Update 45 for 10.7 and later: http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1572
Java 6 Update 45 for 10.6: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1573
3/4/2013 Apple and Oracle have released Java updates for 10.6, and Java updates for 10.7 and 10.8, to address security vulnerabilities. Previous versions are blocked by Apple XProtect.
