Q: What is NAT Networking (VMware)?

Answer

Network Address Translation (NAT mode) gives a virtual machine access to network resources using the host computer's IP address.

In recent versions of VMWare Fusion, the Bridge Mode may be enabled by default. Bridge Mode does not work with the MIT wireless internet connections. To change from Bridge Mode to NAT Mode on Macs, click the wrench in the upper-left corner of VMWare Fusion and go to Network Adapter > Internet Sharing > Share With My Mac.
