Using the Room Catalog

Use the Room Catalog to find a room on campus suitable for your event. In the catalog, you may find photos of the rooms, space information such as the room number, room type, capacity and size. Some rooms may have a Click Here to Book link available, which will take you to a separate website to reserve the room.

If there is no information available for how to book a room, please refer to the Campus Activities Complex or the Registrar Office website. Also, some rooms will require a room confirmation to be attached. This is done in the event registration process.

Note: Room reservations must be done prior to registering events.

Search for Rooms

  • You can search for rooms in the catalog by entering the Approximately Number of Attendees or Keywords in the search fields.
  • Also, you can select criteria to view rooms by Availability Online, Room Setup and Additional Criteria.
  • Rooms can be sorted by Capacity and Location.
  • Use the Previous and Next buttons, enter the Page Number or select the Number of Rows to find rooms.
  • Off-campus spaces are not captured in the room catalog. You can still register an event with an off-campus room. In the registration process, enter the location and check the box that says "This is a Non-MIT Space."
  • Type "OUT" and you will find the outdoor spaces in the room catalog.
  • Can't find a room? You can request a new space to be added to the catalog by contacting the IS&T Service Desk or if you're in the process of registering an event, you may click link Can't Find Your Room? You cannot complete your event registration until the room has been added.
  • If you need to update or remove a room in the catalog, contact the IS&T Service Desk and provide the details.

In your Add Room Request, please include the following information:

  • Building Name/Number
  • Room Name/Number
  • Any Room Nicknames
  • Room Approver(s)
Note: It's recommended to include a backup approver in case the main approver is out of the office.
  • Additional information we should know about the space such as the room type, capacity, size and etc...
Note: If its a Res-Life space, then room capacity must be provided.
  • Photo of the room
Note: Photo maximum size is 5MB.
