SRS Vacation Tracker, Add-Change section vs History section

Questions

  • I am using the SRS Vacation Tracker in Atlas, and notice that only some dates are editable. Other dates fall within the Vacation History section, and are not editable from within Atlas. What is the explanation for this?
  • When will the vacation time that I just entered get moved to the history section, where it is no longer editable?

Answer

Using the SRS Vacation Tracker, employees and DLC administrators can submit and make changes to the vacation record for vacation taken during the current fiscal quarter and the previous fiscal quarter. This is the same "window" that DLCs have to make salary distribution changes via eSDS.

For example, vacation time entered for Quarter 1 (July, August & September) will be editable during Q1 & Q2 (October, November and December). The specific date in December thru which you can enter or edit Q1 vacation will be available on the December payroll monthly closing calendar.

The monthly calendar is published on the Vice President for Finance web site at http://vpf.mit.edu/calendar_schedules/schedules/payroll_monthly_closing
