MIT Quick Base Policy Regarding Inactive Users

Context

To remain within the limits of MIT's Quick Base license and enable additional applications to be built, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) periodically removes access from inactive users.

MIT’s Quick Base license is based on user roles, and any person with a role other than “None” in one or more Quick Base apps counts as one user.

People who have not accessed any Quick Base application in the previous six months will have their user role set to "None." This change has no effect on application data, and app managers can revert a person's access status to an active role if necessary.

Roles are assigned on the Manage Users screen of each Quick Base app:

Restoring access

IS&T periodically sets the access role to "None" for users who have not accessed any Quick Base app in the past six months.

If necessary, in order to enable a user to access the Quick Base app, the app manager can utilize the Manage Users screen of the Quick Base app to revert the role to an active status.
