How Can I Customize My Site Favicon

Return to Drupal Cloud Landing Page

Answer:

A favicon is a small image which appears on the web page tab at the top. It must be 32x32 pixels, be 8 or 24 bits and have the .png or .ico extension. Favicons are associated with your theme.

To add a favicon:

  1. On the Admin menu click Appearance, then Settings.
  2. Click on your theme in the top right.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the overlay and click Shortcut icon settings.
  4. Uncheck Use the default shortcut icon.
  5. Click the Browse button, then locate and select your favicon image. Click OK. The Path to custom icon field will be filled in for you.
  6. Click Save configuration.
    choose new favicon
