Campus Building Exterior Door Schedules

Hours listed here are standard door schedules.

• MIT ID entry: A person with a valid MIT ID (digital or physical) may use it at a card reader to access the building during the stated hours.
  • If MIT ID access is needed outside of the listed hours, approval of the area's Access Approver is required in the form of an allocation in the MIT Campus Access application (formerly known as Covid Access).
  • MIT ID access to buildings listed as "authorized occupants" is managed by designated gatekeepers in each department, lab, and center (DLC) via the Physical Security dashboard (Genetec). Contact the DLC for authorization.
  • Note: Access to all interior card-controlled doors is also managed by DLC gatekeepers. Contact the DLC for authorization.
• Visitor ID (Tim Ticket) entry: A person who does not have an MIT Kerberos account may use a Tim Ticket invitation from an MIT community member to activate their MIT Visitor ID and use it at a card reader to access the building during the stated hours.
• General public entry: Exterior doors are unlocked during the stated hours; no ID is required.

Individual schedules are subject to change, and temporary adjustments for events are not reflected here. In those cases, contact event organizers for entry details.
