Q: How do I set up the Out of Office Assistant in Outlook for Mac 2011 for my Exchange email?

Answer

Microsoft provides instructions on how to automatically reply to messages, but there are a few things you should know about using this feature at MIT:

  • Warning: The Out of Office assistant may reply to mailing lists in some instances. This is not an issue with Mailman mailing lists. IS&T recommends using Mailman mailing lists to avoid out of office messages being sent to list members.
