Before you can change the desktop wallpaper on the Student VM, you need to change the following Group Policy setting.

1. Start > Search Programs and Files "group policy"
2. Select Edit Group Policy
3. Change the following value from Enabled to Disabled
   User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Desktop\Desktop\Desktop Wallpaper

Now you can change the desktop wallpaper in the usual ways.
