Q: Can I delete a requisition?
In B2P
A requisition can be deleted:
- Only by the person who created it or by the On Behalf of person
- Only if the requisition is in Draft status.
- If the requisition is pending approval, the requester or On Behalf of person can withdraw the requisition and then delete it.
In SAPweb
Sort of. You can delete line items from an existing requisition. But audit trails require that once the requisition has been submitted and received a number you can't totally delete it... even if the requisition is still just in an Approval queue within your department.
Approvers and Procurement staff can delete line items from a requisition in the following way:
- Enter the fast path: /nme52
- In the Purchase requisition field, enter the requisition number.
- When the Purchase requisition is displayed, select the line item or items and follow the menu path Edit > Delete.
- When all the line items are marked as Deleted, then the req will be considered deleted, that is, nothing will ever happen with that document.
