Q: How do I tell if my email is on the Exchange email server or the IMAP email server?

Answer

To check which server your email is on, login to Athena and issue the following command at your prompt:

chpobox your-username

Be sure to replace your-username with your MIT username. The result will list a "Type". IMAP means your mail is going to IMAP email server. EXCHANGE means your mail is going to the new Exchange email and calendaring server.

The following example shows the results for the user "oddball" who is on the IMAP email server.
