Q: I need the full-fledged Roles application. What do I do?

Answer

You need to do three things before you can use the Roles application.

1. Install the application on your Macintosh or Windows machine. (You can download the application from the Web. See the links on Roles home page.)
2. Request "meta-authorizations" that permit you to create authorizations related to your department. The Department's Primary Authorizor needs to make this request. Have your Primary Authorizor contact the Help Desk.
3. Get a username and password for the Roles database. Send email to helpdesk@mit.edu.
