Adobe CC Desktop gives an error "You don't have access to manage apps."

Answer

  1. Login to your computer with an account with administrator privileges.
  2. Logout of the Creative Cloud Desktop app.
  3. Close the Creative Cloud app.
  4. Navigate to the ServiceConfig.xml file:
    • MacOS: Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/Configs/ServiceConfig.xml
    • Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\Configs\ServiceConfig.xml
  5. Open the ServiceConfig.xml file with TextEdit (Mac) or Notepad (Windows).
  6. Make the following edits:
    Change: <panel><name>AppsPanel</name><visible>false</visible></panel>
    to: <panel><name>AppsPanel</name><visible>true</visible></panel>
  7. Save.
  8. Restart the computer.
    Result: After restarting and launching the Creative Cloud Desktop app, it should launch and work as expected.
