Q: How do I use Mac OS X's built-in support for VPN with the MIT VPN?

As the Mac operating system is supposed to support connecting to Cisco servers, and some clients may try using this built-in functionality if they learn of it. Unfortunately, the Mac VPN client software supports the wrong protocol (L2TP/IPSec). In other words, it can't be done and MIT clients must use the Cisco client available from the software downloads page.
