Q: What can I do with my MIT Dropbox account that I can't with my personal account?

Answer

There are some useful features that, at the time of this writing (August 2014), are only available in your MIT Dropbox account:

  • Single Sign On - Authenticating via MIT's Touchstone eliminates the need to input a password on Dropbox's website.
  • Passwords for shared links - Currently in early release to Dropbox for Business accounts, you can now set a password for a shared link to provide more security. More information is available here.
  • Expirations for shared links - Another feature currently in early release to Dropbox for Business accounts, an expiration date can be set for shared links. More information is available here.
