Is TSM aware of hard links?

Context

A hard link is an advanced filesystem feature that allows data to be visible under two (or more) file names. There is one copy of the file data, but you can access the data via all of the linked names.

Solution

TSM is not aware of hard links. Data in hardlinked files will be backed up multiples times, once via each file name.
