Q: What are the known issues with Debathena Lucid?

Answer

  • The login screen looks very different and the login process is somewhat confusing: The GNOME display manager, which provides the login screen, underwent a substantial rewrite for Ubuntu 10.04. We have reported a number of bugs to the Ubuntu developers and are working to improve the login screen user interface.
  • The new background and color theme is ugly: We know. It's easy to change your desktop theme and color scheme by going to the "System" menu, then "Preferences", then "Appearance".
  • The new window titlebars are confusing: Unfortunately, we had no control over this change, and Ubuntu has selected this scheme as the new default.
  • Some applications request a username and password when printing: This is a known issue and we're actively working to fix it.
