Dropbox Badge is a collaboration tool used in conjunction with Microsoft Office files. Now, team members won't have to worry about who else is editing a file or whether they are on the latest version. With the Dropbox badge, you can see all of that information right from the document you're working on, so you can rest assured your team is in sync. In Microsoft Office documents, the badge will:
- Show who else is viewing or editing the file
- Check if there's a more recent version, and give you the option to update with just a click
- Provide a quick way to see previous versions of the file
- Generate a link to share the document, without ever leaving the application
Please note that this will only be available for Microsoft Office 2007 and later on Windows and Microsoft Office 2011 on Mac. Once you enroll, the badge will appear for your team members over the course of a few hours.
