This article is written as best effort support for MIT community members. MIT IS&T does not distribute or support StreamText. |
StreamText is a realtime text communication software to provide accessibility solutions for the deaf and hard of hearing community
For use at MIT the following steps will need to be followed to stream:
- Confirm your computer w/ the StreamText software is connected to MIT Secure.
- Change your Kerberos password yearly.
- If your Kerb password is successfully changed, you will have to re-enter it to connect to MIT Secure.
After connecting to MIT Secure (The software does not perform via Eduroam) launch the StreamText software w/ the appropriate credentials provided by the company.
You may wish to confirm the StreamText software and device are configured to use the same port.
Again, this is not an IS&T supported software, and support for the software is found at https://streamtext.zendesk.com/hc/en-us.
