Question

How do I change the default browser in Mac OS X?

Answer

  1. Launch Safari.
  2. Follow the menu path: Safari > Preferences, and click the General tab.
  3. From the drop-down list to the right of the words "Default Web Browser", you should see a list of all web browsers installed on the machine. Select the one you would like to set as the default.
  4. Close the Preferences window, and quit Safari.
