Question 2: I want to send mail 'on behalf of' another user, but keep getting an error message similar to the one below:

Question 3: I want to send mail 'on behalf of' a mailing list, but keep getting an error message similar to the one below:

"You are not allowed to send this message because you are trying to send on behalf of another sender without permission to do so. Please verify that you are sending on behalf of the correct sender, or ask your system administrator to help you get the required permission".

Answer 1: The resend option will only work for emails that have only your own email address listed. If there are any other email addresses listed, you will receive this error, because you are not authorized to send mail 'on behalf of' that other user. You will need to have the other user add you as a delegate first. See below for instructions on how to set up delegate permissions.

Answer 2:  You will receive this error, because you are not authorized to send mail 'on behalf of' that other user. You will need to have the other user add you as a delegate first. See below for instructions on how to set up delegate permissions.

Answer 3:  you will receive this error, because you are not authorized to send mail 'on behalf of' that mailing list. Unfortunately you cannot set permissions for a mailing list, since this is not an actual email account on the Exchange server. This only works for actual user accounts.

(Note: You can set the reply to address for each email message, per email, to the mailing list name, so any replies will come back to that address. To do this, per email, you can open a new email, click on Options in the ribbon and check the box for "Have replies sent to and click browse to find the mailing list in the directory).

To set up delegate permissions on your Exchange account
