I am trying to run a BrioQuery report or use another database query tool to query an Oracle database, and am getting an error:
Note that the Oracle client is not available for Macintosh. Macintosh users can access BrioQuery via Citrix.
This error can sometimes be resolved with the following steps (for Windows):
- Close BrioQuery.
- Navigate, on your hard drive, to C:\Program Files\oracle\ora92\network\Admin
- Rename sqlnet.ora to sqlnet.oraOld
- Copy and paste the sqlnet.ora file attached to this article into that same location.
- Launch BrioQuery and try again to run the report.
