My exchange account can't send email to stringed lists, I receive bounce backs

  • Sending email from my Exchange account to stringed lists such as @ll, @mtl, etc, fails to deliver email to those recipients or distribution lists


  • The N2K file is a cache of all "sent to" recipients


  1. Close Outlook
  2. Set the system to show hidden files and folders
  3. Control Panel > Folder Options > View > Show hidden files and folders > OK
  4. Find the N2K file:
    C:\Documents and Settings\UserID\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.nk2 and/or exchange.nk2
  5. Rename to exchange.bak
  6. Restart Outlook
  7. A new file will be created
  8. Send a test message
