The MITvoip Console presents you with an interactive list of recent calls (received, placed, and missed). Entries in your call list work together with other MITvoip Console features in several ways, such as replying by phone or email and copying a number into your contact directory.
You can also access call list information on your desk phone. These two call lists are not integrated, so deleting a call from your desk phone does not delete it from the MITvoip Console call list.
To check your messages online, use the [Voice Mail] pane.
Your call list includes both incoming and outgoing calls. Each call has an icon indicating what kind of call it is.
- Blue arrow: Placed call
- Green arrow: Incoming call
- Red arrow: Unanswered call
Items on the call list cannot be deleted. Instead, the list shows only the ten most recent calls of each kind. Older calls drop off when a list exceeds ten entries. They do not expire by age.
You can interact with call list entries in several ways:
- To add a a contact to your Phone Book, either click on the contact's name or drag the contact's name into the Phone Book pane.
Result: A window will open where you can edit and save this contact's information.
- To send an email to a contact, point to a call list entry and click on the envelope icon that appears to the right of the contact's name.
Result: A new message will open in your default email program. If the contact's email address is listed in the Phone Book, it will automatically appear in the To: field.
- To place a call from the call list, click on a phone number.
Result: The Call tool will open with the phone number you selectected automatically entered into the To: field. See Remote Office for more information.
To sort your call list, click on one of the column headings: Name, Phone, or Date Received. Each click toggles the sort from ascending to descending. An arrow will appear on the column heading indicating how the list is currently sorted.
