MITvoip Telephone Moving Your Phone

It is very easy to move your phone to any working MITnet jack. Just unplug the cables, move your phone to its new location, and plug in the phone's network (Ethernet) and power cables. Allow a few minutes for your phone to reboot, and it will be fully functional.

When you unplug your phone, your call lists will be cleared. Be sure to save any contacts before you move.

Important!

If you move an MITvoip phone, it is your responsibility to update the phone's location so that emergency services can find you if you call 100 or 911, see Update a Location.

Note: If you temporarily move your phone for less than 24 hours and then return it to your original location, do not update the phone location. However, be aware of your location when making an emergency call.
