Login to SAPgui after upgrade to SAPgui 7.40



Follow these steps to resolves login issues after upgrade to SAPgui 7.40r3 for Windows:

Step one: Manually remove saplogin.ini
  • Navigate in Windows Explorer to: C:\Users[username]\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common
  • If saplogon.ini exists, delete it.
Step two: Check for saplogon.ini from alternate location
  • Navigate in Windows Explorer to: C:\Users[username]\AppData\Roaming\SAP\LogonServerConfigCache
  • If saplogon.ini exists, delete it.
Step three: Delete temporary files in Internet Explorer
  • Follow the menu path Start >> Control Panel >> Internet Options
  • On the General tab, in the section for Browsing History, Select Delete
  • Place a check for Temporary Internet Files and website data.
  • Place a check for cached files.
  • Click Delete, then click OK.
Download and re-run SAPgui installer
